Wednesday club run 5K (during summer season) at 6.30pm
Saturday club runs 8.00am – 12K coastal run. 9.00am 5K club run/walk then brekkie at van.
Sunday – 9.00am Centennial Park 5K run if you dare….

Hello running world!
Hearty congratulations to Wayne for being granted Life Membership of Team Sydney at the recent AGM. Wayne’s work in promoting running and working with the sporting community for many years has been recognized by this very special award. Well done sir and thanks for all you do for Frontrunners.
Christmas is fast looming of course, so check out below for the details on our Christmas celebrations. And of course before you know it, Mardi Gras will be upon us again. There’s lots to do at this time of year especially with Fair Day, so if you feel motivated to assist please let one of the Committee know. Denver is particularly keen to get assistance with the fabulous Little Black Dress Run - please let him know if you would like to help.

Message from the Secretary
Hi members,
Getting close to ho, ho, ho time…….. have you signed up yet for the fabulous SFR Christmas party? The menu is below (might change slightly but remember that all food including pastes, milks and sauces are freshly made – no cans used in this restaurant!!!)
We have acceptances and even monies from the following…. Matt R, Robert F, Paul B, Steve, Malcolm, Dennis J, Brett O, Wayne M, Barbara G, Dan G, Lawrence G, Kieron B, Phil B, Jim B, Denver D, Jeannie S, Priscilla M, Des S, John K, Gene S, Sue B and Annie, Gerard C and Gerry G. Come and join us – we need final numbers just after the weekend – so Saturday is a great time to commit and pay. $45 and the restaurant is licensed.
Christmas season and summer season starts next week – hope you can all make the club Christmas party on December 12. Should be great…..
Training continues each Monday evening and you now have 4 SFR sessions per week to enjoy your running… all based in the park.

Results – Sydney Sprint Triathlon Race 1, 30/11/08 at Kurnell
Five Sydney Frontrunners braved the very early start - up at 4.15! - to compete in the first of the Sydney Sprint series at Kurnell. The day dawned (eventually) with clear skies after the big storms overnight. There was a light breeze from the south but the water, 17 C, was calm and the air crisp. Ideal for a tri. Over 500 competed.
Results: F 55-59 Kate R 3rd in 1.26.35 (24.22, 39.08, 23.03). A great comeback result after long break.
M 30-34 Matt W 5th in 1.01.35 (12.41, 32.53, 16.21). A puncture cost Matt a podium finish.
M 40-44 Will P 38th in 1.23.54 (19.34, 43.38, 20.44) Will’s first Kurnell Tri and a good result in a very competitive group.
M 50-54 Marc vd B 5th in 1.12.27 (14.34, 37.26, 20.26) Marc didn’t like the largely grass-surfaced run.
M 60-64 Jim B 1st in 1.12.13 (14.05, 38,46, 19.20) More work on the bike needed.

Fri 12 Dec – Club Christmas dinner Oceanic Thai restaurant, Clovelly
$45 for the banquet – either vegetarian or regular meat and veg meals….. highly regarded Chef Max and Maestro Sally L (from AE runners) hosts this evening. Licensed but not exxy – for beer, wine and spirits. Yummy Thai food made from the freshest ingredients – no msg and very nutritious… Jim is accepting deposits of $20 (min) now to secure your spot.
