The Little Black Dress Run, or LBD as we call it, is a 4K fun run through Centennial Park… but there’s something a little bit Queer about this one.It’s more than women on the run, jocks in frocks, dragsters or feeling the “Thrill of Frill” – it’s about skirting the park to help children growing up with HIV. Well there is one week to go before Little Black Dress Run and everything seems to be falling into place nicely, now if only the weather can be kind too us, please Lord bless us with nice weather, do it for the kids oh and the hair, make up and outfits. EXCITING NEWS:- Confirmed today Volvo Car Australia has kindly offered the Little Black Dress Run a car for a long weekend. As this is a charity event and it is all about raising money I have decided that the individual person who raises the most money for Camp Goodtime will be the winner of this prize. This means that donations matched by companies can not be used for this prize (Please read the terms and conditions to this prize which are listed below) So that means that you all have one week to get fundraising either by the charity website http://www.gofundraise.com.au/-littleblackdress where you set up your own webpage Or by getting donations with the LBD flyer either way get fundraising now to be in with a shot of winning a stunning Volvo for a weekend. Well that is about all from me this week, hope that you are all getting as excited as me for the big morning and don’t forget the Official After Party. Tickets will be on sale at Frontrunners Saturday morning 13th after 9am for the bargain price of $10. They can be purchased on the day, however they are $15, again all money going to Camp Goodtime Until next week Damien Terms and Conditions for Volvo Car winner The prize of a loan of a Volvo for a long weekend carries the following conditions. The vehicle must be collected on a Friday and returned the following Monday from a capital city dealership as nominated by Volvo Car Australia. The vehicle is subject to availability in terms of model, location and date of the loan. This loan will be valid until 20 February 2011. Every effort will be made to place the winner in a Volvo of their choice on the weekend of their choice however this is subject to availability. Volvo Car Australia requests a minimum 6 weeks notice to organise a vehicle for the winner. The driver must be aged 25 years or over and must complete a vehicle loan agreement at the time of vehicle collection. The prize is non transferable or exchangeable and not redeemable for cash. |

Camp Goodtime – A charity based at Sydney Children’s Hospital… raising funds to care for children living with HIV. Camp Goodtime receives no Government funding, such event fundraising is directly beneficial. – and we like that it’s a bit campy too! | ||

| Routine childhood illnesses can be arduous. With a compromised immune system, an every day illness, which should be easily cured, now becomes vastly more complicated. Compound this with a rigorous medication routine (which in-itself takes its toll on the body), health holding them back from fieldtrips, holidays or just backyard fun, and the fear of acceptance from school mates, all combine to make young years harder then they should be. |

| There is no registration fee but to help the ankle biters, we do ask for a Voluntary Donation on the day ($10 suggested). Aside from looking fabulous, you can also contribute by asking and encouraging friends, family & co-workers to sponsor you. | |||

Fundraising really is easy…. First – find your Inner Woman to go “Glam” click your heels, then say the words…“Funds raised will help kids with HIV attend a special summer camp” Now who could not chip in for that!? (and see how good you feel: You’re putting more life back into their life!) |

Matching donations: Double your efforts by asking contributors: Does your company provide for matching donations? Sydney Children’s Hospital has Charitable Tax Status and can provide receipts on request for your tax deductible donation. All funds raised goes directly to Camp Goodtime. |
